At the mouth of the Kineke River, Kribi lighthouse was built in 1906 by German colonizers and is still in use today. To the south, Tara Plage is a beach with strong Atlantic surf. Nearby, the Chutes de la Lobé waterfall plunges directly into the sea. From the falls, boats run upriver to Bagyeli native settlements.
